Ruckus Joins Internet2 to Distribute Files for Academic Use
Ruckus Network, a company that offers legal music and movie downloads to college students, is making its library available for academic use on Internet2's high-speed research network, according to company officials. The change comes as the company abandons its pay-subscription business model in favor of one based on attracting advertising revenue and expanding the base of users who might pay for movie downloads and alumni subscriptions.
