Rita Dove Opts to Stay at U. of Virginia; Ousted Director of Saint Ignatius Starts a New College
THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY: It's not often that a job offer from Stanley Fish is rejected, but Rita F. Dove, the Pulitzer Prize-winning professor of English who has been at the University of Virginia since 1989, has spurned Mr. Fish, the administrative dean at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
