Ringing the Bells

To the Editor:

Lawrence Biemiller's "Sweet Carillon" (September 26) accurately and beautifully captured the essence of the carillon and the majesty it creates on a college campus. As a rather new carillonneur, I take pride and experience great joy in being in the world apart of our beautiful bell tower. I especially understand the quiet satisfaction of doing something very special as I climb down from the tower and resume my job as assistant to the president.
