Revisiting Protests of the Vietnam War
To the Editor:
The letters to the editor in the November 24 issue titled "Reasons to Remember the Antiwar Movement, and Why Some Have Forgotten It" -- which were in response to the excerpts from my book, published as "The Antiwar Movement We Are Supposed to Forget" (The Review, October 20) -- all prove at least one major argument of the book itself: While the American war in Vietnam may be over, the combat in America about the war remains a critical and revealing part of our culture.
