Retired Professors’ Groups Play a Variety of Roles

Retired professors are assets and have not “lost all these wonderful skills,” says Barry R. Culhane, president of the Association of Retirement Organizations in Higher Education. Last year the association conducted a survey of nearly 150 organized groups of retired faculty members to find out how colleges respond to retirees’ needs and use retirees on their campuses.
