I am encouraged by Muriel Lederman's essay advocating a new science pedagogy ("Science Is a Social Enterprise," The Chronicle Review, May 14). I think an effort along the lines that she describes would also be beneficial in the development and analysis of science-and-technology policy, my own area of interest.
