Research Council Calls for Study on Climate Policy
The federal government should significantly expand research by social scientists on the social effects of climate change and on how to help policy makers mitigate and adapt to those effects, says a new report.
The report, released this month by the National Research Council, is the first to evaluate progress by the Bush administration's Climate Change Science Program. The study found that researchers have done a good job of documenting how much human activity has caused global warming
