Republican Lawmakers Call for More Accountability in Higher Education

The Republican leaders of the education committee in the U.S. House of Representatives signaled last week that they would look for ways to hold colleges more accountable for the performance of their students, and to curb increases in tuition when Congress renews a key law that governs federal student-aid programs.
