Report on College Access Angers Private Institutions
A new report that compares colleges by how accessible they are to needy students is drawing the ire of private-college leaders and lobbyists.
The report, released last week by the Lumina Foundation for Education, ranks more than 2,800 colleges by how selective and affordable they are for average-performing students from low-income families.
