Report Urges Post-Tenure Reviews for Professors and More Pay for Part-Timers

Part-time instructors have mushroomed into a source of cheap labor in academe, but a new report, released last week by groups representing campus administrators and trustees, says part-timers should be paid at a rate equivalent to full-timers, evaluated regularly, and given opportunities for advancement.
