Report Urges Ireland to Raise Spending on Higher Education and Halt New University Construction
Ireland should put a halt to building new universities, put more money into higher education, and recruit more foreign students, according to a review by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, done at the request of the Irish government.
The report, released last month, also said the country should reintroduce tuition and create a student-loan program.
