Report Urges Collaboration in Clinical Research
The United States lacks a robust program of clinical research that can adequately translate advances in basic biomedical science into new methods to treat and cure disease, according to a report released last week.
Among the report's recommendations was that universities collaborate more closely with managed-care providers to recruit volunteers for clinical studies.
