Report Urges Better Training for Principals by Colleges
State governments, universities, and local school districts need to be doing much more in tandem to improve the programs that train school principals, according to a report released last week by the Southern Regional Education Board.
The report says that many master's-degree programs in school leadership and administration are not selective because universities are primarily interested in enrolling large numbers of students in them. As a result, most of the programs' graduates do not
