There’s good news and bad news for college graduates entering the work force this year, The Boston Globe reports, citing a new survey.
The survey, by MonsterTrak, a division of the job-search company Monster, found that 76 percent of employers planned to hire college graduates this spring and summer, up from 72 percent last year. But 63 percent of employers said they did not plan to increase entry-level wages.
The survey contacted more than 985 employers and 2,545 students. About 90 percent of the students said they expected to receive at least one job offer by graduation. And, parents, be warned: Almost half of them said they planned to “boomerang” and spend at least some time living at home. —Charles Huckabee
