Report Notes Drop in Minority Students in Business Programs
Despite a booming economy and companies clamoring for a more diverse work force, minority students "walked away in droves" from undergraduate business programs in the 1990s, according to a report released last week.
Unless that trend is reversed, companies that are now struggling through a recession will have few black, Hispanic, and American Indian job candidates to choose from when they resume normal hiring, warns the report by the Diversity Pipeline Alliance.
