Report Calls for Greater Efforts to Increase Number of Female Scientists and Engineers
Educators need to push harder to raise the numbers of women in mathematics, science, and engineering, says a report released last week.
"Balancing the Equation: Where Are Women and Girls in Science, Engineering and Technology?," by the National Council for Research on Women, urges educators to remove the barriers to promoting women in those fields and recommends diversifying the curriculums to get more women interested.
