Report Blasts Health-Professions Accreditation as Outdated and Confusing
The system that is used to accredit health-professions education programs is inconsistent and obsolete, according to a report released last month by the University of California at San Francisco.
A committee directed by the university's Center for the Health Professions found that accreditors too often expect institutions to comply rigidly with outdated rules rather than work to improve educational quality.
