Report Blasts Teacher-Education Programs as Outdated and Low Quality
Most of the nation's teacher-education programs are failing teachers, with outdated visions and embarrassingly low standards, concludes a new report.
The report, "Educating School Teachers," was released by the Education Schools Project, which is directed by Arthur Levine, the former president of Teachers College of Columbia University. Mr. Levine is now the president of the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation. The report calls curricula irrelevant and blasts faculty,
