Religious Leaders Back Campaign for Higher Worker Pay at Vanderbilt U.
A push for Vanderbilt University employees to be paid a living wage has gained momentum from a diverse group of religious leaders.
Leading the way are ministers and priests from Baptist, Catholic, Episcopal, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Unitarian congregations, all calling on the university to increase its minimum wage of $7.55 per hour to the Nashville "living wage," estimated by the Economic Policy Institute to be $10.18 per hour.
