Religious College Wins Legal Dispute in Canada
Canada's Supreme Court ruled in May that a schoolteachers' organization could not deny approval to a teacher-training program at a religious college because of the college's ban on gay activity by its students. The court ruled that concerns about bias did not outweigh the university's right to its religious beliefs.
