Religion Scholars, Reversing Course, Will Hold Annual Meeting With Bible Scholars

Citing "scheduling and logistical problems" and members' concerns, the American Academy of Religion has reversed course and decided that it should hold concurrent meetings with the Society of Biblical Literature after all. The academy caused a ruckus among religion scholars with its unilateral decision, announced in 2003, to discontinue joint meetings.
