Record Industry Serves Up Another Batch of Lawsuits
Record companies continued last week with their now-monthly practice of suing people for online music piracy en masse, but no campus network users were named in the latest batch of suits.
The Recording Industry Association of America filed the lawsuits against 493 "John Doe" defendants across the country and brought an additional lawsuit against 24 named defendants who had declined earlier settlement offers. In March and April, the association had identified 35 campus networks where
