Record Companies Sue People at 14 Colleges for Alleged Music Piracy
Record companies continued their effort to curtail campus music piracy last week, filing lawsuits against 477 more individuals accused of illicitly trading copyrighted songs.
Included in the lawsuits, filed by the Recording Industry Association of America, were 69 people who purportedly had swapped files over campus networks. The RIAA released the names of 14 colleges where it says the illegal trading occurred. This is the second time the group has singled out colleges in its batch
