Recent Developments in For-Profit Higher Education

  • In March Corinthian Colleges Inc. disclosed that 80 students in the Tampa, Fla., area had filed suit against the company, alleging that it misled them about the accreditation of its colleges and transferability of credits. Corinthian maintains that it informs all students of how its colleges are accredited and makes no assurances about credit transfers.
