Recent Developments in For-Profit Higher Education
- In August the Apollo Group Inc. announced it would convert shares of its University of Phoenix Online into shares of the main company. Apollo had created the University of Phoenix Online stock in the fall of 2000. The conversion, which gave holders of the stock about 1.1 shares of Apollo Group stock for each of their shares, took effect on August 27.
