Reasons for and Against Tenure for Librarians

Whether or not one believes that librarians should be tenurable, Deborah A. Carver's reasons why we shouldn't be make no sense ("Should Librarians Get Tenure? No, It Can Hamper Their Roles," special supplement on Libraries, September 30).
