Rate of Federal Spending on Indirect Research Costs Is Not Growing, Study Finds
Administrative costs are not consuming a growing share of federal research spending at colleges and universities, despite accusations to the contrary, says a report released last month by the White House.
The percentage of spending on overhead costs has remained steady for more than a decade, according to the report, by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. The White House based its findings largely on the results of a separate study by RAND, a nonprofit research
