Racial Gap Widens at Johns Hopkins Following Fraternity's Party

A fraternity’s decision to hold a “Halloween in the Hood” theme party at the Johns Hopkins University has led to the suspension of the group, Sigma Chi, as well as a widening racial gap on the campus, according to the Baltimore Sun. Black students feel that the party, which featured a skeleton hanging, lynch-style, from a rope noose, illustrates how the university doesn’t accept them. The head of the Black Students Union plans to issue demands and organize protests.
