Race on the Occoquan: a President's Second Freshman Year

I arrive at freshman seminar 15 minutes early. As I stare at the empty table, I think about how happy I am to be here at St. John's College in Annapolis, Md. My metamorphosis from a college president — which I have been for the past 18 years — to a college freshman is almost complete. I am finally enjoying myself. I'm enjoying my studies. I'm enjoying being a member of crew. And I'm enjoying hanging out in the Coffee Shop, where Johnnies congregate.
