Purdue U. Investigates Controversial Fusion Research
A Purdue University physicist who has claimed success in conducting low-cost fusion experiments is now being investigated by the university.
"The research claims involved are very significant, and the concerns expressed are extremely serious," the provost, Sally Mason, said in a statement that announced a review of work by Rusi P. Taleyarkhan, a professor of nuclear engineering.
