Purdue Loses Appeal of Patent Case
In a reversal for Purdue University and a company that is one of its major partners in technology licensing and economic development, a federal appeals court has overturned a patent-infringement verdict that the university won a year ago.
The ruling, issued by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, deals with patents on techniques for making tissue-graft material derived from urinary bladders of pigs.
