Publishers and Treasury Office Settle Suit Over Limits on Authors in Embargoed Nations
The U.S. Treasury Department has issued new regulations clarifying a long-running dispute over how American publishers of academic books and journals may deal with works submitted by scholars in countries under U.S. trade embargoes. The department also agreed to settle a lawsuit brought by several groups representing publishers and authors.
