Publishers Sue an Indiana Copy Shop for Copyright Infringement
Five trade and academic publishers have filed a copyright-infringement lawsuit against an Indiana copy shop, the latest in a series of attempts to crack down on businesses that create course packs without getting permission.
The academic publishers are HarperCollins Publishers, Pearson Education, Princeton University Press, Sage Publications, and John Wiley & Sons. They contend that Collegiate Copies, a company in Bloomington, Ind., has routinely failed to request or receive
