To the Editor:
There is no shortage of irony in the article "Scientists Denounce Texaco's Academic Consultants in Ecuadorean Oil Dispute" (The Chronicle, April 15), about which The Chronicle never called ChevronTexaco to get its side of the story.
Through innuendo, the scientists critical of ChevronTexaco are engaging in a behavior that has the same impact they decried as being "a blatant attempt ... to sway public opinion." Despite resorting to this tactic they do not dispute
