Public-College Leaders Fret as Sallie Mae Struggles

The turmoil in the student-lending industry is beginning to worry some leaders of the nation's public colleges and universities.
The American Association of State Colleges and Universities says that the presidents of several of its member institutions have expressed concern over reports that Sallie Mae, the nation's largest student-loan company, is among those facing financial difficulty.
