Psychiatrist and University of Toronto Settle Dispute
The University of Toronto and one of its teaching hospitals have settled a dispute over their decision to rescind a job offer to a British psychiatrist in December after he criticized drug companies.
The university agreed to give David Healy a three-year appointment as a visiting professor, and Dr. Healy agreed to accept "assurances" that drug companies had played no role in the decision to take back the original offer.
