Protesters Are Unswayed by New Effort on Labor Standards for College Apparel

Secretary of Labor Alexis M. Herman called it a "partnership among students, faculty, and administrators." But many students made it clear last week that they did not support the agreement by 17 colleges and universities to join an industry-sponsored effort to monitor conditions at foreign factories producing college apparel.
