Protest Over Mideast Conflict Turns Ugly at San Francisco State U.
Tensions over the Middle East have flared at San Francisco State University -- again.
Officials there are vowing to prosecute a "small band of bigots" who turned competing rallies this month between pro-Israel and pro-Palestinian groups into an ugly clash of words and actions.
Accounts of what actually happened on the campus differ sharply. But the university's president for 14 years, Robert A. Corrigan, said that in his time there, he had "never been as deeply distressed
