Protect, Don't Restrict, Academic Freedom
To the Editor:
In the March 4 edition of The Chronicle, a piece in Statehouse Digest describes the "academic bill of rights" as an attempt "to protect college students from being discriminated against on campuses because of their political or religious beliefs." To be clear, the purpose of this academic bill of restrictions is not to protect the rights of students; rather, it is an underhanded attempt by David Horowitz to advance his political agenda at the expense of academic freedom
