Proposed Federal Definition of Research Misconduct Gains Support, With Some Caveats
Representatives of scientific societies and universities attending a public forum here last week largely endorsed the main themes of the federal government's proposed new definition of research misconduct.
However, some who spoke at the National Academy of Sciences meeting said the proposal needed fine-tuning before it would gain broad support among researchers.
