Proportion of Corporate Giving to Education Fell in 2003
American corporations are giving more money to worthy causes, but education's portion of the pie is shrinking.
Corporate charitable giving was estimated at $13.46-billion in 2003. Of that total, $5.73-billion was given by 232 companies and corporate foundations that responded to a survey by the Conference Board, a nonprofit group that does research on management and the marketplace.
