Project to Improve Internet Video Could Make Possible Webcasts of TV Quality
Herky-jerky Internet video may soon go the way of the dinosaur.
Researchers associated with the Internet 2 project have started an ambitious effort to develop new technology for high-quality, full-motion video that could be transmitted nationally through high-speed computer networks for research and instruction.
The effort, called the Internet 2 Digital Video Network Initiative, was announced last month
