Project Aims to Prepare Future Professors for Academy
Preparing future professors for life in the academy is the aim of a new $1.8-million project.
The program, "Preparing Future Faculty," is being developed by the Council of Graduate Schools and the Association of American Colleges and Universities, with money from the Pew Charitable Trusts. It is intended to give doctoral students who plan to enter the professoriate a preview of what they can expect.
Most professors are trained at research universities but end up at other types
