Professors Jockey Among Several Law Schools; Presidential Search Irks Some at Colorado State U.

LEGAL MANEUVERS: There's some fierce jockeying going on among high-profile law schools this semester.

In the last month, the University of Michigan Law School has lost both Ronald J. Mann, 41, a commercial-law expert, and Deborah C. Malamud, 47, who specializes in employment law. Mr. Mann, whose work also includes intellectual property and electronic commerce, has moved to the University of Texas School of Law, where he received his degree in 1985. He will have an endowed professorship
