The Northern Kentucky University professor who was placed on leave after she led a group of students to destroy an anti-abortion display on the campus has now been charged with misdemeanors, according to an article in today’s Cincinnati Enquirer.
The professor, who will retire at the end of this semester, has apologized for inviting her students to join her in dismantling the display (The Chronicle, April 14 and April 19). According to the Enquirer, she was charged with criminal mischief, theft by unlawful taking, and criminal solicitation. If convicted, she could face a short jail term and a small fine. The students were also charged.
