Professor Accused of Plagiarism Gets to Keep Her Job

A professor at Texas A&M University at College Station who was accused of plagiarism will not be fired after all, the university president has ruled.

Last summer, the university's provost, Ronald G. Douglas, announced that he was firing Mary A. Zey, a professor of agricultural economics, for committing "flagrant and serious scientific misconduct." But Ms. Zey, who denies the plagiarism charge, appealed. A faculty committee subsequently found that she was not guilty of plagiarism
