Private Colleges in Kentucky Want Greater Role -- and More Public Money
Kentucky could improve higher education in the state if it gave more public dollars to private colleges, according to a report released last week by -- surprise, surprise -- the Association of Independent Kentucky Colleges and Universities.
The report, assembled by an independent consulting company, argues that Kentucky's 20 private colleges should be included in the state's plan to enroll an additional 80,000 college students by 2020.
