Private Colleges' Healthy Financial Performance May Weaken This Year
A new report from Moody's Investors Service may seem like a time warp to better days. The report, which tracks the financial picture at colleges in the fiscal year that ended in June 2007, shows healthy performance in investments, higher tuitions, and stable debt burdens.
But the report warns that this good performance may not continue, considering the trouble in investment markets and surging variable-rate debt.
