Princeton Will Return 8 Works of Art to Italy

Princeton University has reached an agreement with the government of Italy over 15 works of art in the university's possession. Under the terms of the deal, which was signed last week, Princeton will return eight objects to Italy but keep the others.

Italy has contended since 2004 that some of the works were improperly sold or given to Princeton. The agreement covers three objects that were subjects of an Italian inquiry. Those are a 12-inch-tall Greek psykter (a mushroom-shaped vase
