Prime Paradox: Iowa State Cleans Its Plate With Balanced Diet of Awards

Iowa State University has achieved the rare distinction of winning accolades simultaneously from both Meat & Poultry magazine and People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. According to The Des Moines Register, the university’s meat-science program was ranked first in the nation by the magazine, and the animal-rights group has declared it one of the 45 “most vegetarian-friendly colleges.”
